Chicago Bulls: 2026 NBA Draft Preview

After a rough 31-51 season that led to major front-office changes (led by Bryson Graham) and a coaching shift to Tiago Splitter, the Bulls are officially in rebuild mode and the 2026 NBA Draft gives them a massive opportunity to take steps in the right direction.

Draft Picks

No. 4 overall (own)

No. 15 overall (via Portland)

No. 38 (via New Orleans)

No. 56 (via Denver)

Chicago is the only team with two picks in the top 15, which does provide some flexibility in a strong top-heavy class.

Big Board Focus at No. 4

The consensus top four prospects are all elite freshmen with star potential:

  • AJ Dybantsa (BYU) — Dynamic scorer and athlete, often mocked No. 1.
  • Darryn Peterson (Kansas) — Talented guard with elite scoring instincts.
  • Cameron Boozer (Duke) — Polished forward with NBA-ready game.
  • Caleb Wilson (UNC) — Athletic big with rising stock; many mocks have him as a strong fit for Chicago at No. 4. Wilson reportedly had a positive visit/workout with the Bulls and is seen as a high-motor, versatile frontcourt piece.

Strategy at 4: Take the best player available from the remaining elite tier. No need to reach— this pick is about adding a foundational talent to a thin roster. Perimeter shooting and frontcourt depth are also priorities.

Below we look at the most likely order of the top 5.

The top 3 are pretty clearly set with Caleb Wilson even more likely cemented to go to the Bulls at number 4. Percentages taken from prediction markets.

At No. 15 and Beyond

Expect the Bulls to target wings, guards with shooting, or additional frontcourt help. Options at number 15 could include players like Cameron Carr, Bennett Stirtz, Yaxel Lendeborg.

Overall Outlook

This draft marks a pivotal reset for the Bulls. With cap space, young pieces like Josh Giddey and Rob Dillingham already on the roster, and multiple high picks incoming, Chicago has the assets to build sustainably rather than chase mediocrity.

Draft night (June 23-24) should deliver excitement in Chicago. Round One on Tuesday, Round Two on Wednesday.
