Bulls Summer League Roster

Chase Audige
Chase Audige showcased his athleticism and defensive prowess at Northwestern, becoming a steals machine. Audige earned Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2022-23. He’s a very streaky shooting but definitely has the ability to get hot. His ability to generate turnovers can be a valuable asset for the Bulls’ Summer League roster, but he needs to develop more consistency in his shooting to make a significant impact offensively. Audige spent last season between the Capital City Go-Go and Windy City Bulls of the G-League.
Matas Buzelis
2024 1st-round pick Matas Buzelis is a raw but highly athletic player who played for Overtime Elite last year. He is known for his bounciness and versatility in scoring, whether it’s cutting to the basket or shooting. However, his shooting still needs refinement. As a good cutter who can score in multiple ways, Buzelis brings potential and excitement to the Bulls, though he will require development to fully harness his skills.
Garrison Brooks
Garrison Brooks, a 2023 undrafted finisher from Mississippi State, brings a strong low-post scoring ability. While not a great shooter, he has shown some flashes of potential in that area. Defensively, he can have lapses but is a solid athlete overall. Brooks’ ability to score in the paint and his athleticism can provide interior presence for the Bulls during the Summer League. Brooks spent four seasons at North Carolina prior to transferring to Mississippi State for the 2021-22 season. Brooks played for the Westchester Knicks of the G-League last season.
Marcus Domask
Marcus Domask, undrafted out of Illinois, is known for his scoring ability, particularly in the mid-range game. Scored 2,218 total collegiate points over five seasons. He does have some struggles from beyond the arc, shooting just 29.7% last year. Domask’s experience and scoring instincts will be tested in the Summer League, where he needs to prove his range and versatility.
Henri Drell
Windy City Bulls Standout Henri Drell played four games with the Chicago Bulls last season but made a significant impact with the Windy City Bulls, averaging 15.6 points and 8.4 rebounds. His 31.6% shooting from three-point range shows room for improvement. Drell’s size and scoring ability make him a player to watch, but consistency and outside shooting will be key areas to focus on.
Andrew Funk
Three-Point Specialist Andrew Funk is a big-time shooter. He did play five games with the Bulls last year but recorded no points in a few end-of-game minutes. However, his 36.5% three-point shooting in the G League shows promise. Funk was part of the 3-point heavy Penn State Nittany Lions in 2022-23. Funk shot 41.2% from three with 3.0 makes per game at Penn State in 2022-23. He played four years at Bucknell prior to that season. Funk’s ability to stretch the floor with his shooting will be a valuable asset, though he needs to translate his college success to the professional level.
Nathan Knight
Nathan Knight has NBA experience with the Hawks and T-Wolves and played in the G League last season. Despite being undersized for a big man at 6’8″, his polished footwork and love for the spin move in the post make him effective inside. Knight’s ability to score in the paint and his polished post game will be a big part of the Bulls’ Summer League success.
Julian Phillips
Julian Phillips, the Bulls’ second-round pick in 2023, is still developing but has shown great defensive versatility. At just 20 years old, his shooting and offensive game are coming along but still raw. The Bulls drafted Phillips after his freshman season at Tennessee. Phillips’ potential on both ends of the floor makes him an intriguing prospect for the Summer League, where he will look to showcase his growth and versatility.
Dereon Seabron
Dereon Seabron, who has played limited NBA games with the Pelicans, excels in transition with his quickness and driving ability. However, his shooting remains a weakness. Seabron’s speed and ability to attack the basket will be key for the Bulls, though he needs to develop a more reliable shot to become a well-rounded player.
Adama Sonogo
The Double-Double Machine recently signed to a two-way contract with the Bulls. Sonogo is known for his dominance down low. He was a big part of UConn’s 2023 National Championship. He averaged 22.0 points and 12.7 rebounds for Windy City in the G League last season and earned himself nine games with Chicago. Sonogo’s interior presence and work ethic will be vital for the Bulls in the Summer League.
Javonte Smart
Point guard Javonte Smart has bounced around the NBA and G League and even played in Serbia. Known for his vision and shooting, Smart can run the offense effectively. His experience and ability to shoot the three will provide stability and leadership for the Bulls’ Summer League team.
DJ Steward
DJ Steward, an undrafted in 2021 out of Duke, has been a consistent performer in the G League. A former five-star recruit from Whitney Young, Steward brings scoring, rebounding, and playmaking to the table. His familiarity with the professional game and versatility will be assets for the Bulls.
Tyler Thomas
Undrafted out of Hofstra, Tyler Thomas is a prolific scorer with 2,321 collegiate points over five seasons. Thomas was second in the country in minutes percentage, meaning he was on the floor for95.8% of Hofstra’s minutes. He also had the ball in his hands a ton and took 35.5% of the team’s shots (6th in country). Thomas played his first three season at Sacred Heart before transferring to Hofstra for his final two. Thomas will look to prove his scoring ability translates to the professional level. His knack for finding the basket and endurance will be critical in the Bulls’ Summer League campaign.
The Chicago Bulls’ 2024 Summer League roster features a mix of raw draft picks, older undrafted players, and experienced players looking to catch some eyes. Each player brings unique strengths and areas for improvement, making this Summer League a crucial period for their development.
